Like most Americans, I'm sure you were glued to the news about the "financial crisis" and the government's "fix" for the problem. You probably heard that the government was going to come in and save the mortgage industry by bailing out failing corporations. And, you probably heard both Barack Obama and John McCain say that this bailout was necessary, and good for the economy.
What you probably didn't hear was that it was going to cost up to $1 trillion dollars, and you were responsible for this money.
"American taxpayers will come up with the money," says the New York Times.
Such a number is hard to conceptualize if you're not the government. So, in order to show you just how much $1 trillion dollars really is, we've put together these figures:
One trillion dollars ($1,000,000,000,000) is enough money:
To buy everybody living in Los Angeles at least one Lamborghini Gallardo.
To buy 88,052, 394' custom mega yachts; enough to stretch around ¼ of the world.

Felt like "Martial Law" in Los Angeles!
Thousands of cars and thousands of unsuspecting people are experiencing for the first time in their lives, the full impact of what a police state is all about this morning, folks! The freeway looks like a parking lot! Every single one of those 3 to 4 miles on my side had cars w/mulitple passengers in them and the cars were at a complete stop waiting for their turn to be chuted in like cattle to be asked for their papers (?) and to be questioned by the cops (for possible DUI?). Jesse Ventura was in Phoenix last Thursday to speak at the Mesa convention center. The video below is of Jesse speaking and questioning main stream media earlier in the day on Thursday. I feel Jesse is completely wrong to focus so much on what might have really happened on 9/11. Government wants Jesse and others like him to focus on any and all 9/11 theories. While main stream media eats up what Jesse is saying, government continues to do what they do best. GROW GROW GROW!!! Everytime government grows, our freedoms and liberties are eroded. A piece of advice for Jesse from the Big Valbowski, who happens to be a liberty loving libertarian. STOP @#$%ing FOCUSING ON 9/11 THEORIES!!!
The real question should be "why has government grown so much after 9/11 and how do we get back to a VERY limited government?"
We are no longer a free people party because of apathetic society, and partly because some people focus on issues that convolute the real issue. Focusing on 9/11 is what government wants people to do so they can continue their assault on our freedoms and liberties. Further more, even if the 9/11 conspiracy was true, so what? Are we going to punish those who were involved? NO! But we will all continue to be suject to the patriot act, intense search's at airports, real ID, IRS, DEA, FBI, DHS and many many more oppressive government agencies and policies. Our children and grand children will face a much lower standard of living as government continues on its path to fascism. The American Dream is dying because of the explosive growth of government and Jesse is still focusing on what happened on 9/11. I will stop here because I could go on and on. What was Bob Barr thinking yesterday by bailing at the last minute for Ron Paul's announcement?
I do not yet know what to make of Mr Barr as the libertarian candidate. Mary Ruwart was who I was hoping would become the libertarian choice for president. She is a true liberty loving libertarian. Mary was winning the first several rounds of voting in Denver and looked like a shoe in. Then a last minute sweetheart deal between Barr and Wayne Root effectively put second place Barr over the top and defeating Mary Ruwart. I would loved to have Mary Ruwart as the Presidential candidate and either Steve Kubby or Christina Smith as VP. However, Barr and Root are the LP ticket and I am concerned. The question for me is- can Barr and Root be trusted and are they true libertarians who want to restore freedom and liberty to all Americans? Stay tuned as I will answer that question to the best of my ability right here tomorrow Friday Sept 12/08.

Great video of unjust police getting a taste of justice!
From FreedomsPhoenix.com. A soccer fan runs onto the field holding a sign. Gets tackled by 4 police. Fine right? I understand they need to do their job and be safe. I get it. But then as the 4 police are trying to arrest the subject, they decide several hard shots with the butt end of a billy-club is in order. They soon found out society does not take kindly to adrenaline seeking thug cops. Near the end of the video, the one cop who was using the billy-club was running away with his tail between his legs. Not so tough when the tables are turned. I also do not believe that was the type of adrenaline rush he was looking for. Unfortunately this type of thing happens far to often. The good cops, the ones who respect civil liberties and human rights, are few and far between.
